Python/Oracle Exadata Support Engineer - 6262008

Key Responsibilities

• Experienced with distributed application platforms: Windows, UNIX, LINUX, SQL.
• Ability to lead triage and solve production outage situations under tight deadlines, including root cause and problem resolution follow-ups.
• Experienced on monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, ITRS Geneos.
• Have knowledge of Equities asset class and related trade processing flows.
• Have programming skills: Python, Unix/scripting, Java.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have knowledge of ITIL SDLC principles and execution.
• Experienced in coordinating with offshore/onshore support, business, vendor, and infrastructure partners.
• Hands on experience providing direct support to front/back office applications.
• Results oriented, must be able to effectively collaborate with developers and business users to find solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in Application support development, ensuring stability for critical production platforms in a global, team oriented environment.
• Experienced with Unix / Linux OS, knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Perl.
• Experienced writing SQLs using joins.
• Have experience supporting large applications using webserver, databases on UNIX platforms.
• Have troubleshooting skills to analyze slow query performance, memory, and IO utilizations.
• Experience with monitoring tools e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk, ITRS Geneos, ITIL Remedy ServiceNow, Jira, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Autosys, Ansible, Grafana, Grid computing, and SRE practices.
• Experience with MongoDB, Cloud, and IBM OpenShift.
