Python Full Stack Developer with Financial

About the role

The role involves developing, supporting, and maintaining applications to run risk models, including forecasting and calculation of Balance Sheet, Macroeconomic Factors, Expense and Fee Revenue, Market & Credit Risks, Risk Weighted Assets, Stress Capital Buffer Ratio, etc., using analytics platforms like compute clusters, GPU clusters, Spark/Hadoop, JupyterHub, and machine learning toolkits. The candidate will also interface with product and other functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of backend features and components
• Collaborating with other engineers in design and development
• Help triage bugs, track software defects, and ensure their timely resolution
• Follows technical standards and quality
• Interface with product and other functional teams and their leadership
• Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code
• Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions
• Maintain software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain)
• Actively participate in code reviews
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Apply security and privacy principles
• Execute full lifecycle software development
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Ensure software is updated with latest features
• Participate in deployment process following all change controls
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master Degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline
• 5-6 years of experience in software development or a related field
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills with knowledge of computer science fundamentals
• Proficiency in Python, Java and, UI development using React (Preferred)/Angular or equivalent and database & SQL
• Experience with software development using Agile practices such as developing CI/CD workflows and tools like GitLab, unit testing and deployment
