Python Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Develop scalable backend systems using frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and product managers.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries.
• Implement unit tests, integration tests, and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Strong knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with asynchronous programming using AsyncIO or Celery.
• Knowledge of message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Understanding of software security best practices and authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or Python are a plus.
