About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Python Developer to join our dynamic team remotely from anywhere within the United States. This full-time, direct W2 position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead the development of complex, enterprise-grade applications and data-intensive platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Python programming and a proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, high-availability systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, data engineers, and infrastructure specialists to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. Your expertise will help ensure the robustness, security, and operational excellence of our systems, while also mentoring junior developers and driving best practices across the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on Python development experience in enterprise environments
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-availability production applications
- Proficiency with relational database systems such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase, including query optimization and schema design
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with system design, application development, automated testing, and operational support
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and computational efficiency
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex applications in production
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and secure coding standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
