Python Dev with Firmware

About the role

Python Developer with Firmware (BIOS) focus, supporting new product introduction (NPI) programs for server hardware. The role involves bring-up, qualification, regression testing, large-scale hardware validation, and automation of test execution and log analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support NPI programs including bring-up, qualification, and regression testing
• Perform large-scale hardware validation and test execution
• Debug, conduct root cause analysis, and analyze logs
• Build scripts for test execution, environment setup, and log analysis
• Work with in-band and out-of-band management (BMC, Redfish, IPMI)
• Collaborate across teams and communicate effectively

Requirements

• Proficient with Python
• Experience supporting NPI programs (bring-up, qualification, regression testing)
• Understanding of in-band vs out-of-band management (BMC, Redfish, IPMI, etc.)
• Strong skills in debugging, root cause analysis, and log analysis
• Ability to build scripts for test execution, environment setup, and log analysis
• Strong understanding of server hardware architecture
• Good communication and cross-team collaboration skills
• Product Test Automation experience: 3–5 years
• Mandatory technical skills: Python, NPI Program, PowerShell, CPLD, JBOD, OEM, HW System, Firmware/BIOS/BMC interaction

Pay

Expected compensation ranges from $60,000 to $140,000. Final compensation depends on geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
