Python Backend Engineer — Remote || W2

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
• Build secure, reliable, and high-performance REST APIs.
• Develop backend services, business logic, integrations, and data-processing components.
• Integrate applications with databases, third-party systems, and cloud services.
• Contribute to frontend development using React.js, Angular, or Vue.js when required.
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS and/or GCP.
• Own infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform and GitLab.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Maintain monitoring, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance across cloud environments.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and productivity.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other technical teams.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering, security, and cloud-development best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Solid experience building backend applications and REST APIs.
• Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Strong understanding of API design, authentication, application security, and performance.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong cloud background in AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitLab, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Experience with Docker; Kubernetes experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
• Working knowledge of React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
