Python AI Engineer

Contract position (12+ months) located in Concord, CA with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week).

About the role

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-scale Python applications supporting Agentic AI, marketing automation, and intelligent workflow orchestration. Write production-quality Python code with a strong focus on scalability, performance, maintainability, and secure coding practices. Build and enhance AI agents, orchestration services, APIs, and backend components using Python-based frameworks and libraries. Optimize Python code for performance, reliability, and efficient interaction with vector databases, LLM services, and external systems. Conduct code reviews, debugging, root cause analysis, and performance tuning to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong Python development experience
• Capable of writing production-scale code
• Agentic AI experience preferred
• Motivation, learning agility, and self-sufficiency

Pay

Between $75 - $80 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.
