PW - Housekeeper

About the role

The piece work housekeeper will professionally clean and maintain a portfolio of vacation rental properties, performing thorough cleaning including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and moving furniture to ensure every surface sparkles. The position involves creating welcoming environments by handling laundry, restocking amenities, maintaining hot tubs (training provided), and identifying any maintenance needs or damages. This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in attention to detail and wants to directly impact guests' vacation experiences by delivering pristine, comfortable homes.

Responsibilities

• Professionally clean and maintain a portfolio of vacation rental properties using cleaning procedures and products in conformance with prescribed company standards.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and washing all surfaces.
• Move all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind.
• Assist with laundry and linen as needed.
• Identify and note any damages or needed repairs to homes.
• Collect and remove trash and debris.
• Attend all mandatory individual and team meetings.
• Replenish consumable items such as soaps and paper products.
• Maintain hot tubs as needed; no experience necessary – on‑site training provided.

Skills + Qualifications

• Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is preferred but not required.
• Prior housekeeping experience is a bonus but not required – we can train.
• Tech‑savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications; comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms.
• Reliable personal transportation is essential due to frequent travel between worksites.

Pay

Compensation is piece rate, ranging between $36 and $225 per unit (average of $81 per unit). Paid training, required meetings, and non‑post reservation cleans are compensated at $18‑20 per hour.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work may take place indoors or outdoors, in a variety of settings including private homes, resorts, offices, and laundry facilities — often in varying weather conditions. Schedules can change based on guest and homeowner needs; shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, requiring flexibility. Reliable transportation is required, with regular travel within the locally assigned market and/or region market dependent. The role requires the ability to move freely (balancing, climbing, crawling, driving, squatting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and to lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
