About the role
Atkore is a leading provider of electrical, safety, and infrastructure solutions with a global network of manufacturing and distribution facilities. This role involves overseeing production schedules, quality control, packaging, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Confirm product running on each Extrusion line with the Production schedule.
- Afford assistance with Quality Control duties including, but not limited to: Monitor saw cuts, Pipe length, Bell fit, Print line confirmation, Chamfer/Bevel, and Reference line spacing.
- Package finished pipe in proper crate quantities.
- Weigh and transport finished product via forklift (Atkore certification will be provided).
- Cut crate boards to proper lengths and adjust if needed.
- Afford assistance with the start-up and changeover of the PVC extrusion lines.
- Understand how to get pipe into specification.
- Able to identify pipe products that are out of specification.
- Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent preferred.
- Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
- Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Qualifications

- Complete any required training related to the material handler position within 3 months.
- Develop relationships with the shift supervisor, operators, and other material handlers within the Extrusion department.
- Understand lean daily management practices and the importance of your role to daily operations.

Pay
A good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $18.50. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
