PV Solar Field Technician Intermediate Level - Rush Springs II: Duncan, OK

This position sits within the Power Generation Division, responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. Based out of the Rush Springs site in the Duncan, OK area, the intended employee will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, and AC/DC inverters across multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing inverters from producing grid power
• Maintain all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition
• Conduct electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for solar arrays and inverters
• Support teammates in nearby states to maintain reliability, operations, and maintenance for assigned sites
• Reliability engineering and warranty management
• Operation and basic maintenance of electrical and power electronics equipment
• Safety and environmental program stewardship
• Supervisory duties of NextEra Energy employees and contractors
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
• Business duties and inventory management
• Heavy equipment operation
• Regulatory compliance
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Graduate / GED
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Valid Driver’s License (Non-CDL)

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade School Graduate
• Licensed Electrician or Licensed Master Electrician
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
