Purpose of Job The Warehouse Put Away Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, storing, and organizing incoming products and inventory within the warehouse. Job Description Operate forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment to move pallets and products to assigned storage locationsAccurately scan and verify product using RF scanners or warehouse management system (WMS)Place inventory in correct bin/slot locations according to warehouse layout and storage guidelinesInspect pallets and products for damage prior to and during put away; report discrepancies or damage immediatelyMaintain accurate inventory records by confirming location transfers in the WMSFollow proper stacking, weight limits, and safety protocols to prevent product damage or workplace injuriesConduct pre- and post-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance issuesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety standardsCollaborate with receiving, inventory control, and picking teams to ensure smooth warehouse operationsAssist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferredMust have a valid driver’s license and clean driving recordPrior warehouse experience required; put away or forklift experience strongly preferredValid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification through company training)Basic math and reading skills for order accuracy and inventory trackingFamiliarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detailPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyAbility to stand, walk, bend, and operate machinery for extended periodsComfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures (including refrigerated/freezer environments, if applicable) Essential Mental & Physical Function Mental Functions: Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department.
