About the role
The Pursuits Specialist provides critical support for the project procurement process and pursuit of new business. Daily responsibilities include developing and submitting multidisciplinary and collaborative proposals to a wide range of private and public sector clients. Coordinates proposal response and team assignments; supports proposal development and writing; writes and edits proposal narratives; and serves as proposal liaison to all Market Sector groups. Must champion and maintain DAVIS’ brand standards across the board.
Responsibilities
- Manages the development of multiple proposals, including response production, layout, and final delivery
- Provides strategic guidance and coaching throughout the proposal and presentation process
- Writes, edits, and proofreads comprehensive narrative and proposal materials
- Ensures compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements
- Maintains and updates project descriptions, employee resumes, and certifications
- Leads presentation formatting and content development specific to each proposal
- Supports and collaborates with Market Sectors and key DAVIS stakeholders to formulate and submit proposals
- Creates templates, checklists, and boilerplate documents to support proposal development
- Champions and maintains DAVIS’ brand standards across all materials
- Stays current with DAVIS projects, potential projects, staffing, services, differentiators, experience, personnel information, and history
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing or Construction related field, or equivalent experience
- At least five (5) years of previous experience; minimum of two (2) years of which should be specifically with proposal and presentation development related responsibilities
- Demonstrated high level of experience and understanding of private and public sector proposal process
- Strong technical writing, editing, and proof-reading experience
- Strong experience level with GSA proposal forms and other technical government proposal preparation
- Expert organizational and time management skills to coordinate projects and people, prioritize and track multiple projects simultaneously, and meet critical deadlines
- Expert skill level and experience using MS Office suite, various graphics and presentation programs (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite)
- Strong ability to write creatively and to appeal appropriately to each audience with each message
- Strong understanding of A/E/C industry, its dynamics and touchpoints
- Related certifications a plus (APMP and/or LEED accredited)

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $105,000.00.
