Purchasing Specialist

We work across a variety of industries including automotive, supercomputing, gaming, medical devices, oil and gas, and more. Additionally, we provide tailored supply chain solutions such as counterfeit testing, vendor inventory management, and sustainable hardware disposition.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with internal customers (ie. Sales) to increase revenue and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Develop, establish, build and maintain solid vendor relationships.
• Required sourcing, price negotiation and expedition of purchase orders (POs).
• Execute and manage POs and dispute resolutions in a timely manner.
• Develop and demonstrate working knowledge of Smith’s purchasing methodology, commodities, services, industry standards, and terminology.
• Interface with Operations and Accounting departments to ensure PO’s are processed seamlessly and meet the needs of the customer.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience of 1-2 years in purchasing. General knowledge of supply chain management.

Pay

The salary for this role is $65,000.
