Purchasing Specialist

About the role

This position supports the service part ordering and delivery process through effective planning, communication, and supplier interface. It involves managing supplier on-time delivery, identifying and mitigating supplier critical issues, and ensuring high levels of parts availability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day activities with suppliers to ensure high levels of parts availability and minimize past due deliveries.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish mitigation plans for supplier critical issues to prevent impact to customers.
• Support new model parts availability by identifying and evaluating supplier issues to ensure no impact to new model launches.
• Participate in PDCA cycles to continuously improve delivery performance and address department targets.
• Develop and share knowledge within the team to enhance overall department performance.
• Manage work environment to optimize productivity and reduce waste.

Requirements

• Minimum educational qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent related experience.
• Average experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience.

Pay

Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to, geographic location, work experience, etc.

Schedule

Must be able to work overtime, when/if needed to support department metrics. Work in a fast-paced environment with demanding and critical deadlines. Travel 10%.
