About the role
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for sourcing materials, managing inventory levels, and optimizing inventory levels for both production/customer needs and cash flow.
Responsibilities
- Develop a long-term Purchasing strategy to ensure current process is scalable and flexible to support company growth.
- Meet with key vendors, source new vendors, negotiate price reductions, track inventories of key items and recommend timely purchases.
- Establish outsourcing opportunities
- Manage supplier relations and negotiating contracts, pricing agreements, timelines, etc.
- Contract implementation - including developing and negotiations of agreements working with other necessary stakeholders.
- Lead continuous improvement to drive meaningful changes in process, supplier or material to deliver value beyond price.
- Process purchase requisitions and orders to secure products and/or services as required.
- Evaluate and implement orders where needed.
- Cook up with internal and external customers regarding purchase requirements following corporate procurement guidelines.
- Manage a team which processes and place purchase orders, track receipt of orders, approve invoices.
- Cook up with various stakeholders to determine and manage inventory needs.
- Other duties as required.

Required Experience/ Education
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Requires understanding of purchasing practices and use of accounting

- Ability to securely organize and document data.
- Ability to communicate with internally / externally written and verbal
