About the role
Our Client is a defense contracting organization headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO. The organization delivers high-performance support platforms in mission-critical government and commercial environments.
Key Role Summary, Duties, And Requirements
- Lead procurement and planning functions while ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and timely acquisition of goods and services for defense-related operations.
- Develop purchasing strategies, manage supplier relationships, conduct vendor research, negotiate pricing and delivery schedules, support production planning, monitor inventory controls, and partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, engineering, logistics, legal, and program management.
- Qualify candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or a related field, along with 5–7 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a DoD, federal acquisition, or government contracting environment is required.
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, contract compliance, flow-down requirements, supplier management, and procurement risk management is essential.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship, willing to work on-site, able to travel domestically 5–10% of the time to vendor sites, and able to pass education verification, a criminal background check, and a 10-panel drug screening.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or a related field.
