About the Role
The Purchasing Intern will gain cross-functional exposure within and outside of supply chain, interacting with external suppliers, and working on data analysis and management. This includes converting legacy systems data to a new ERP and developing tools for vendor management. The intern will also assist buyers and commodity managers in daily purchasing activities.
Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and control new projects around vendor management, including structuring and organizing: non-disclosure agreements, code of conduct, risk assessment, risk register, and a comprehensive key supplier database.
- Manage low-spend vendors and consolidate vendors to reduce administrative costs.
- Provide day-to-day support to buyers and managers in reviewing forecasts, placing orders, expediting, and issuing releases.
- Convert legacy systems data for the new ERP as needed.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Degree in Supply Chain or a similar field.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially SharePoint.
