Purchasing Expeditor

Works in direct conjunction with Buyers to monitor, control, coordinate, and expedite as necessary the delivery of materials ordered. The primary function is to ensure that delivery of material aligns with end users' needs and to report variances so appropriate workarounds can be established.

Responsibilities

• Contacts vendors to obtain information regarding delivery, material availability, shipping confirmation, and mode of transportation.
• Updates the online Purchase Order with appropriate "will ship" information.
• Notifies the Buyer and Planner of any variances that could impact the schedule.
• Reviews the daily Receiving Report and updates files accordingly.
• Assists in resolving non-receivable material problems.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Confers with engineering, technical, or manufacturing personnel.
• Uses computers to enter, access, or retrieve data.

Requirements

• 3+ years of purchasing or manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21.63 - $26.44 per hour.
