About the Role
This role will perform inventory, purchasing, and shipping/receiving activities for an R&D Product Development team working on software and computers. We are seeking assistance with inventory, purchasing, and shipping tasks.
Top Skills
- Knowledge of Purchasing and Inventory Management in a process-oriented environment or business
- Expertise with Excel advanced skills (pivot tables, formulas, referencing, reporting)
- Familiarity with computers—workstations and servers—and their components
- Experience with barcode scanners and inventory management software (helpful)
- Strong writing and reporting skills; organized and able to deliver on-time
Responsibilities
- Plan, perform, and administer purchasing activities to ensure assigned production parts and materials are delivered within required delivery, quality, compliance, and pricing parameters
- Conduct and document procurement activities and negotiations to support prudent buying decisions
- Maintain ongoing interface with various departments to ensure materials meet requirements at the lowest practical cost
- Monitor open order reports and take corrective action on Monthly Reporting Factors
- Take an active leadership role on assigned projects
- Develop Excel spreadsheets as a visual reporting mechanism for management
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
