Purchasing Assistant - TEMPORARY

Our team supports automotive manufacturers and service providers by delivering reliable, cost-effective solutions that extend product life and maintain high standards of quality and performance.

The Purchasing Expeditor helps maintain smooth daily operations by monitoring incoming materials and working directly with suppliers to keep deliveries on schedule. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers regarding overdue items.
• Coordinate expedited shipments for materials needed to prevent operational delays.
• Obtain shipment tracking details and communicate delivery updates to internal teams.
• Maintain regular communication with vendors to confirm expected arrival dates and resolve potential delays.
• Track inbound shipments and monitor delivery progress through receipt.
• Escalate delays involving high-priority materials to management promptly.
• Identify and communicate purchase order pricing discrepancies to the appropriate buyer.
• Follow up on outstanding order confirmations to ensure purchasing records are accurate and complete.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support purchasing and supply chain operations.
