Purchasing Assistant (Greenboro-Corp)

About the role

A Purchasing Assistant will work directly with the Purchasing Manager to coordinate the purchase of products and materials on behalf of Dana Safety Supply. The individual will also collaborate with current vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.

Responsibilities

• Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery and accurate product receipt.
• Assist Research & Development and Quality Assurance with document control.
• Monitor all purchase orders, both outgoing and incoming.
• Assist the Purchasing Manager with price control of product.
• Maximize purchasing opportunities by utilizing all vendor special pricing.
• Maximize inventory in stock for open orders, making accurate decisions on ordering product through a purchase order or using stock on hand in all warehouses.
• Maintain good communication with vendors.
• Ensure all pricing on purchase orders is accurate prior to submission.
• Other duties may be assigned.
