Purchasing and Inventory Specialist

About the role

AOM Infusion is a leading provider of home and specialty infusion therapy, dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist assists the Purchasing Supervisor and Vice President, Trade Relations and Supply Chain with daily responsibilities of maintaining proper stock and equipment for all pharmacy locations. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Arlington, TX office.

Responsibilities

• Places IVIG and specialty drug purchase orders for all pharmacy locations.
• Aids in maintaining proper stock in IVIG and specialty medications.
• Helps Purchasing Supervisor with locating hard-to-find products for all pharmacy locations.
• Backs up Purchasing Supervisor when finalizing inventory reports for all pharmacy locations.
• Updates and prepares supply chain tracking and ordering workbooks and reports.
• Reviews and provides new drug access information and profitability assessments.
• Assists with equipment maintenance needs as required.
• Performs other related and support duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or related area, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in purchasing and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Office applications such as Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication, telephone, and organizational skills.
• Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills.
