About the role
As a Purchasing Agent, Electrical, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of electrical supplies and materials for various projects. This includes researching suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate potential suppliers for electrical components and materials.
- Negotiate contracts and purchase orders with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality products.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to meet project needs while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand requirements and provide timely delivery of materials.
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to purchasing and supply chain management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of electrical components and materials.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
