Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for daily operations
  • Evaluate supplier options and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms
  • Ensure purchasing activities align with operational priorities and business goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers
  • Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and responsiveness
  • Support the development of long-term strategic vendor partnerships
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and reduce costs
  • Analyze pricing trends and purchasing data to support informed decision-making
  • Contribute to budgeting and cost management initiatives
  • Carefully coordinate with warehouse, operations, and logistics teams to ensure material availability
  • Assist in managing inventory levels and minimizing supply disruptions
  • Support timely delivery and movement of materials across operations
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and procurement documentation
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
  • Work closely with internal departments to understand operational needs and priorities
  • Provide procurement support across multiple teams and projects

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 2–5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations
  • Industry experience within mining, construction, manufacturing, or industrial operations is highly valued
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards preferred

Working Environment

  • Combination of office and operational site environments based on business needs
  • Interaction with warehouse and operational teams as part of daily activities
  • Occasional travel to supplier locations or operational sites may be required
