SRC is looking to add a Purchaser/Procurement Specialist to our team in North Charleston, SC.

About the role

Managing, tracking and executing various types of contract vehicles for Navy C4ISR programs.

Requirements

  • High School GED and minimum of 5 years cumulative experience
  • Specific experience must include:
    • Two years of Navy Integrated Logistics Support experience
    • Two years of Life Cycle Support of a shipboard system
    • Two years of DoD/Navy Purchasing/Procurements
  • Demonstrated proficiency in executing the following type of contract actions:
    • P-Card (Purchase Card)
    • MAC (Multiple Award Contract)
    • SEWP (Solution Enterprise Wide Procurement)
    • SAP (Simplified Acquisition Procedures)
    • DLA (Defense Logistics Agency)
    • MILSTRIP (Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures)
    • GSA (General Services Administration) contract vehicles
  • Ability to work with Government Contracting Specialists and Government IPT Leads to finalize, review and accept best price quotes/proposals from vendors in order to receive purchase orders
  • Familiarity in review and editing modifications to existing contracts and purchase orders (i.e. MILSTRIP and Government Purchase Card orders) to include preparing RFP (request for proposals) and related solicitation documents
  • Ability to use productivity tools to track and receive material contracts
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret / SCI level

Desired Skills

  • Completed DAU Training related (Defense Acquisition University): Acquisition and Logistics Training
  • ILS demand planning experience
  • Experience with purchasing for Navy C4ISR submarine systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FIAR (Financial Improvements and Audit Readiness) procurement policies and procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Navy ERP application
