Purchaser

At American Concrete we manufacture prestressed precast concrete pieces for railroads and commercial concrete projects. We are searching for a purchaser with a keen eye for detail to buy various goods for our company. The outstanding purchaser can juggle multiple responsibilities at once and make important decisions in our fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Purchase general and specialized materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for manufacturing precast concrete components.
• Create purchase orders and receive materials in the Sage ERP system for invoicing purposes.
• Forecast and ensure materials are in stock for upcoming projects.
• Inspect purchased products and report any issues in a timely manner.
• Track material using the Sage ERP system.
• Run reports on purchases made and perform cost analyses with Sage software.
• Monitor inventory daily.
• Conduct research on potential products, vendors, and services, comparing price and quality to secure the best deal.
• Periodically meet with vendors and clients to negotiate the best deals.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Experience using Sage X3 system.
• Practical experience with an ERP system.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Blueprint reading (a plus).
• Sound research and networking skills.
• Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the construction industry is beneficial.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor settings.
