Purchase Specialist

What You'll Do

  • Manage transactional purchasing activities to support commodity requirements
  • Maintain procurement costs, supplier pricing, and delivery schedules
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Resolve supplier performance issues and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Support sourcing initiatives and continuous process improvements
  • Advise internal teams on procurement best practices
  • Assist with forecasting, inventory planning, and supply chain optimization

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/business systems
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
  • Institute for Supply Management (ISM) certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working with inventory forecasting, supplier management, or logistics
