Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for wires, connectors, terminals, and related electrical components.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to ensure best-value procurement.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support long-term sourcing needs.
- Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with production and planning to forecast material needs.
- Monitor stock levels and implement reorder systems to avoid shortages.
- Support Just-in-Time (JIT) practices while minimizing carrying costs.
- Conduct cost analysis and support alternative sourcing strategies.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through supplier development and volume leverage.
- Track procurement budgets and report on cost-saving achievements.
- Ensure materials comply with Celestix quality standards and relevant certifications.
- Coordinate with the QC team to perform inspections and resolve non-conformance issues.
- Address supplier quality concerns with structured corrective actions.
- Coincide logistics for material delivery, including import/export if applicable.
- Monitor supplier lead times and track shipments to prevent delays.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, contracts, and supplier databases.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and company standards.
- Stay updated on market trends and innovations in wiring harness components.
- Work closely with engineering, quality, finance, and production teams.
- Provide technical input to vendors to meet material specifications.
- Identify and onboard new vendors based on capacity and quality benchmarks.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and propose development programs.
- Implement continuous improvement measures in sourcing and supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- B.E./Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in procurement for wiring harness or electronics manufacturing.
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies, ERP systems, and quality standards.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
