PUR Machine Operator
Day-in-the-life and Your Responsibilities
- Mix products according to shop order instructions.
- Complete one batch and start another batch in each reactor that is in operation.
- When a drum is removed from the oven, it should be replaced with another drum immediately.
- Keep raw materials and packaging supplies orderly to support mixing operations.
- The small oven and the big oven should be maintained at all times.
- The packaging for batches running currently in reactors should be made before your shift is over.
- At shift change, at least three batches should be fully compounded and in the oven.
- Maintain accurate shift log on a daily basis.
- Maintain good housekeeping in area.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience with manufacturing equipment.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Extreme attention to detail is a must.
- Must be able to get on and off forklift multiple times throughout the day.
- Lift 55 lbs. throughout the day.
- Bending, squatting, and stooping are required during changeovers and cleaning.
- Push up to 200 lbs drums throughout the day.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Respirator Required- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
