About the role
The Stacker’s primary responsibility is to feed and/or stack lumber into and off a saw.
Responsibilities
- Feed and/or stack lumber into a saw to be cut to a specific size.
- Lift material repeatedly.
- Verify cut size using tape measure according to cut sheet.
- Band finished product together and label it for forklift operators to take to the next station.
- Clean and maintain equipment and surrounding area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist other team members within the department as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work well with a partner.
- Passion for quality and natural attention to detail.
- Reliability and ability to work at an efficient pace.
- Demonstrates honesty and integrity.
- Strong work ethic.
- Great attitude and models teamwork.
Physical Demands
- Stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the day.
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day, as well as other physical duties as needed.
- Stand and/or walk for 8 hours per day with 2–15 minute breaks.
- Utilize tools.
- Lift and carry lumber of different sizes and other products.
- Communicate efficiently and clearly with other team members.
- Learn and follow company procedures and work instructions consistently.
- Work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Work in extreme temperatures.
