Punch Press Operator - 1st shift

About the role

Join our team in Owatonna, Minnesota as a Punch Press Operator on 1st shift. This position offers the ability to make an impact and growth potential within the company.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate punch press equipment per job specifications (single-hit, progressive dies)
• Load metal blanks or coils, align dies and feeds
• Perform basic machine adjustments to maintain part quality
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and inspection plans
• Monitor press performance and conduct in-process quality checks
• Complete accurate production records and downtime logs
• Maintain safe work practices and use required PPE
• Assist with die changes and minor preventative maintenance

Requirements

• Prior punch press or stamping experience
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
• Ability to read blueprints and operate calipers, micrometers, and other gauges
• Forklift experience or certification
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and stand for a full shift
