Pump Technician Apprentice

About the Role

The technician handles the mechanical and electrical components of residential well systems, traveling to homes to fix low water pressure, failed pumps, and electrical control issues.

Responsibilities

• Installation: Set up residential submersible and jet pumps, pressure tanks, and filtration equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose no-water emergencies, low pressure, and electrical control failures.
• Repair: Replace pressure switches, control boxes, worn pumps, and damaged drop pipes.
• Testing: Check water flow rates, inspect electrical draw, and collect water samples for safety.
• Customer Service: Explain system issues and repair options clearly to homeowners.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in well drilling, residential plumbing, or pump service.
• Proficiency with multimeters, pipe threaders, and hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Capability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
