Pump Mechanic
About the role
FCX is looking for an experienced repair mechanic to work on all processes related to disassembly, inspection and assembly of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps of all sizes. This is a first shift position in a clean and well-lit repair facility in New Hudson, MI.

Responsibilities
- Field and shop disassembly, inspection, rebuilding and diagnostic of various types of pumps, motors and related component equipment as needed.
- Specify the necessary parts and labor needed to complete the repair or service, and provide a written report of findings from troubleshooting.
- Assembly/fabrication, minor plumbing, and testing of components.
- Troubleshooting, removal, installation, and repairs on various customer equipment.
- Back‑up support in the shipping and receiving department.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to learn (training provided)
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or GED
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification
- Welding experience (a plus but not required)
- Pump repair experience (centrifugal, vertical turbine, multi‑stage, etc.) (a plus but not required)
- Pump manufacturer training (Flowserve, Finish Thompson, Grundfos, etc.) (a plus but not required)
