Job Description

Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs approximately 114,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products, and services.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of four Lockheed Martin business areas. Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking an Pulsed Power Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

MFC is a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. This role offers an excellent working environment with a mix of cutting-edge design, hands-on laboratory testing, and product development.

You will work with and learn from industry-leading RF and microwave design professionals in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

What You Will Be Doing

The Pulsed Power Engineer will support the design, analysis, test, and manufacturing of high voltage systems and subsystems used in challenging, high-reliability defense applications.

  • Design high voltage, high current, and high frequency power electronics modules (pulse forming networks, MOSFET/IGBT/SiC drivers, resonant converters, bias networks).
  • Model pulsed power dynamics, resonant cavities, and microwave feed line interactions.
  • Analyzing test data, including signal post-processing, visualization, and comparison with modeled data
  • Using computing tools such as MATLAB for simulation, modeling, and data analysis
  • Producing schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts using tools such as Mentor Graphics
  • Performing circuit analyses; generating bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing packages.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, systems engineers, circuit design engineers, and manufacturing support personnel
