Pulmonology Physician

About the Role

We are a large physician-owned group expanding in the Trenton, NJ area. As part of our Respiratory Program, we are seeking a pulmonologist to join our team consulting and overseeing NPs providing consults, with profit-sharing opportunities. This is a 1099 independent contractor position in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide biweekly pulmonary consults to SNF patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted New Jersey medical license
• Board Eligible or Certified in Pulmonology
• Active DEA license
• Minimum 1 year of Pulmonology experience
• Experience working with respiratory patients in an acute or post-acute setting
• Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills
• Must comply with facility vaccination requirements

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks), and chemical hazards
• Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirement

Schedule

• Part-Time: 10-20 hours per week
• Monday-Friday, no weekends or on-call requirements
