Pulmonology Physician
About the Role
Outpatient opportunity with no ICU patients. Sleep Medicine available Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m.–12 p.m. Call schedule is 1:3 with no weekends. Join a team of 2 MDs and 4 APPs. The clinic is equipped with onsite chest X-ray and pulmonary testing. Bronchoscopies are required; EBUS is preferred.
Location
This position is located in a popular area of Southern Idaho known for its outdoor recreation, including flyfishing and snowmobiling. The region offers easy access to hiking and biking trails, local and state parks (such as Massacre Rocks State Park), and is a short drive from Idaho State University. It is also within 3 hours of Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, and Salt Lake City.
Hospital Overview
A 200-bed Level 2 Trauma Center using Epic EMR is expanding its multispecialty clinic. The hospital provides specialty support, including Interventional Radiology, Critical Care, and a fully staffed ICU/Hospitalist Services.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient pulmonology care
- Perform bronchoscopies (EBUS preferred)
- Supervise Advance Practice Providers
- Participate in a 1:3 call schedule (no weekends)
Requirements
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in Idaho
- 1+ years of experience preferred
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care
- Sleep training, experience, and board eligibility preferred
- Comfortable supervising Advance Practice Providers
- Medical Doctor (MD) with or without U.S. residency and current U.S. work visa
