About the role

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking an exceptionally well-trained pulmonologist to join an established private practice in Gainesville, Florida. The practice treats diseases and problems of the lungs and respiratory systems, including pneumonia, COPD, tuberculosis, chest infection, and more. Physicians share call with additional physicians within the community and practice. The incoming physician will join a large physician-owned, multispecialty group that also offers primary care, neurology, pain management, rheumatology, urology, and spine/neurosurgery, and will have the opportunity to grow a successful practice. The practice provides on-site laboratory and imaging services (X‑ray, MRI, CT, bone density, and ultrasound), and a sleep medicine clinic and lab are located less than a mile away. Visa sponsorship is available. The group is a progressive, physician‑owned multispecialty practice established in 1987, part of a leading regional healthcare system with 65+ physicians, and includes on‑site laboratory, imaging (X‑ray, MRI, bone density, ultrasound), health psychology, and physical therapy. HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is a respected community hospital with 523 licensed beds, recipient of the 2023 3‑Star Rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons for isolated CABG, named among Healthgrades America’s 250 Best Hospitals for 2024, awarded the 2024 Patient Safety Excellence Award™, operates three freestanding emergency service locations in addition to the main ER, has a robust robotic program with five da Vinci Xi robots, is accredited as a Chest Pain Center, DNV Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancers (NAPBC), and is certified as a Key Top‑Quality Performer by the Joint Commission.
