Pulmonary Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

About the role

Geisinger is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an interest in practicing 100% Pulmonary Medicine, to join our welcoming practice in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area offers recreational attractions such as Kalahari resorts & conventions, Hershey Park and Hotel Hershey, Camelback Resort & Great Wolf Resorts, shopping, dining, sporting events, concerts, hunting, mountain biking, skiing, and hiking, and is within driving distance of New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC & Baltimore. Avoca International Airport is 15 minutes or less away.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive specialty training provided to be successful
• Provider skill mix: 5 attendings and 3 APs
• Provider primarily performs outpatient consultations
• See general pulmonary cases such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer and post COVID complications
• Outpatient appointments are 60 minutes for new patients and 30 minutes for follow up visits

Pay

Competitive compensation plus $10k start incentive.

Requirements

• Education: Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required) or Master's Degree-Nurse Practitioner (Required)
• Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification; Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania
