About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team in advancing the development and deployment of PuduBot 2, our newly upgraded commercial delivery robot. This role focuses on realizing intelligent deliveries across diverse scenarios, enhancing robot performance, adaptability, and reliability to accelerate the growth of service robots globally.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of PuduBot 2’s cutting-edge features, including its chassis system, perception capabilities, and autonomous navigation.
• Enhance robot stability and performance across various road surfaces and environments, including semi-outdoor and large-scale mapping (up to 40,000 ㎡).
• Support the integration and customization of PUDU OS, enabling third-party development, expansion, and seamless operation with accessories like Pudu Watch, Pudu Pager, and Pudu Link.
• Improve PUDU VSLAM+ technology for marker-less deployment, reducing setup time by 75% and enabling operation in high-ceiling environments (up to 30m).
• Collaborate on battery optimization, ensuring up to 24 hours of operation on a 4-hour charge, and fully enclosed machine design for durability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to expand robot capabilities, including autonomous charging, task assignment, and multi-tray configurations (up to 7 trays).
• Drive innovation in robot accessories, such as protection cases, cup holders, and turnstile/automatic door control components.

Requirements

• Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or related fields, with a focus on commercial or service robot development.
• Proficiency in SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), LiDAR, and sensor fusion technologies.
• Strong background in software development for robotics platforms, including customization and third-party integrations.
• Knowledge of battery management systems, motor control, and mechanical design for mobile robots.
• Familiarity with environmental adaptability challenges, such as varying road surfaces and semi-outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment with a global market leader in service robotics.

Skills

• Programming languages: C++, Python, or ROS (Robot Operating System).
• Experience with PUDU OS or similar robotics operating systems is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing and robotics prototyping.
• Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in addressing technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
