Public Works Project Manager - Lehi

Civil Science is seeking a driven and experienced Public Works Project Manager to support and grow our public works practice in Utah (Salt Lake City or Lehi Office). This role is an opportunity to play a key part in a growing market, leading meaningful municipal infrastructure projects that directly impact the communities we serve while building strong relationships with local agencies and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary client contact for public works projects across Utah
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget for multiple active municipal projects
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
• Deliver high-quality infrastructure projects for city, county, and state agencies
• Support business development efforts, including proposals and client relationship growth
• Collaborate with leadership to expand backlog and strengthen market presence
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
• Ensure projects meet quality, risk, and compliance standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 10+ years of experience in public works or municipal infrastructure projects
• Experience with city, county, or DOT clients
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D
• Experience delivering transportation and public works infrastructure projects
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing environment
• Ability to travel and meet client needs throughout Utah and potentially in surrounding states
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods while working on a computer; lift up to 30 pounds; work on active construction sites with uneven terrain, varying weather conditions, and moderate to high noise levels; and stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Experience working with Utah municipalities or local agencies

• Familiarity with regional infrastructure needs and standards
