About the Role

Civil Science is seeking a driven and experienced Public Works Project Manager to support and grow our public works practice in Utah (Salt Lake City or Lehi Office). You’ll lead meaningful municipal infrastructure projects that directly impact the communities we serve, while building strong relationships with local agencies and stakeholders. We’re looking for a licensed engineer who thrives in a client-facing role—someone who takes ownership of project delivery, leads collaborative teams, and enjoys guiding projects from concept through completion. You’ll step into an active backlog of work with immediate opportunities to contribute and help expand our presence across Utah.

At Civil Science, you won’t just contribute—you’ll have a stake in what we’re building. As a 100% employee-owned company, our culture is rooted in accountability, collaboration, and long-term thinking, giving you the opportunity to grow your career while helping shape the future of our Utah operations.

  • Ability to travel and meet client needs throughout Utah and potentially in surrounding states
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods while working on a computer; lift up to 30 pounds; work on active construction sites with uneven terrain, varying weather conditions, and moderate to high noise levels; and stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass both a criminal background check and driving record review

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Utah municipalities or local agencies
  • Business development or proposal support experience

  • Familiarity with regional infrastructure needs and standards

Skills

  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Experience working with public agency clients
  • Ability to lead teams and drive accountability
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in contributing to a growing regional market

Benefits
