Public Works Lead

Duties and responsibilities

• Able to delegate work on different projects within the City of Chignak
• Oversee Maintenance of Vehicle and Equipment operations
• Make sure Roads and Bridges are maintained
• Building maintenance of all City properties
• Promote safe handling of all Equipment including hand and power tools utilized at jobsite and shop
• Make sure roads are maintained and graded as needed
• Oversee the Maintenance Lift Stations
• Delegate fuel deliveries
• Holds monthly safety meetings
• In charge of utilizing rock crusher and screening

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of the English language to understand written and verbal instructions pertaining to the hazards of machinery, equipment and materials used on the job

Working conditions

• Able to work in inclement weather conditions
