What You’ll Need To Apply
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., certificate of high school equivalency).
- Required Experience: Five (5) years of relevant, job-related work experience.
- Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Successful completion of the Field Training Officer (FTO) Program (provided by the Supervisor/Security).
- Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) credential from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS).
- Blue Card certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
- American Red Cross (ARC) first aid certification.
- TASER certification from a certified instructor.
- Handcuff certification from a certified instructor.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Patrols and surveils hospital campus; provides unarmed security.
- Responds to emergencies and drills (e.g., infant/child abductions (“code pinks”), fires (“code reds”), disasters (“code greens”) and violent/security events (“code greys”)).
- Investigates thefts, burglaries, automobile collisions, and other violations.
- Delivers medication and emergency shipments.
- Assists staff members with patients.
- Completes required training.
- Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.
