About the role
As a Public Safety Officer at Bryn Mawr Hospital, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our patients, staff, and community. You will monitor situations on and off campus, responding to both emergency and sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.Responsibilities
- Maintain a secure environment for patients and staff.
- Respond to emergencies and manage crisis situations.
- Provide support and guidance to patients and staff.
- Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs.
Requirements
- Experience in a healthcare setting or security/customer service-related field preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think independently and work collaboratively.
- Confidentiality and handling of sensitive information.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Valid drivers license and good driving record for the last 10 years.
- Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Lethal Weapons Training Certification (Act 235).
- Completed Managing of Aggressive Behavior or MOAB parts 1, 2 & 3 within 4 months of employment.
