Public Safety Officer (Armed/Unarmed) - Atlanta, Cartersville

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a variety of routine safety and emergency security activities while safeguarding students, employees, visitors, patients and property.
• First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility.
• Responsible for the safe de-escalation of critical events and the use of sound judgment in the engagement with combative or escalating subjects.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum Experience Required: Two years of experience in general security, military or other public safety experience where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty, or an equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force.
• Minimum Licensure/Certification Required: By Law Valid Drivers license & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy
