Public Safety Clerical - Summer Student Employment
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides assistance with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, scanning, and typing documents
- Create spreadsheets, Word documents, and assist with database management
- Performs background checks of former students to ascertain if there was any prior contact(s) with the Dept. of Public Safety
- Affixes with the management of the parking permit program and processing citation fines
- Affords support to the scheduling of student staff and backfilling call-offs
- Greets visitors and guests to the office
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
- MUST BE FEDERAL WORK STUDY ELIGIBLE
- INCLUDES A RESUME AND COVER LETTER
- KNOWLEDGE OF MICROSOFT OFFICE
- MAY REQUIRE BASIC PROFICIENCY IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS: WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS, AND POWERPOINT
- TELEPHONE SKILLS
- VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS
- STRONG INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- REQUIRES STRICT CONFIDENTIALITY
- REFERENCE EXPOSURE TO SENSITIVE INFORMATION
Description Of Hours
Scheduled up to 10 hours a week any time between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
