About the role

The Public Relations team at Franklin Templeton leads global external communications, helping shape the firm’s reputation and support key business priorities. The team works collaboratively across regions and functions, bringing together expertise in media relations, writing, and project management to manage media engagement within the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute public relations plans that align with business goals and drive positive coverage while managing emerging issues.
  • Develop and deliver timely, relevant pitch ideas and story angles to key journalists across financial and trade media.
  • Maintain strong relationships with top-tier financial and trade media outlets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key financial media.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for media inquiries - managing interviews, press releases, and related communications.
  • Create and manage compelling content, including press releases, media kits, and talking points.
  • Ensure all external communications align with the firm’s brand voice, messaging, and standards.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to measure the effectiveness of public relations efforts.

Requirements

  • Experience in public relations or corporate communications.
  • Experience in alternative asset management, private markets, and/or the broader financial services sector.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong focus on attention to detail, follow-through, and execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities.
  • Demonstrated success in developing comprehensive public relations programs.
  • Relationships with key financial media.
  • Experience working on deal communications is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications.
  • Education and certifications not specified, but a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Pay

The annual salary for this position ranges between $110,000 - $130,000, depending on location and level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
