Public Policy Economist (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for experienced economists with a public policy background to help shape how AI understands and reasons about the real world. Your expertise will directly influence the quality of AI-generated policy analysis — making it more rigorous, accurate, and grounded in real economic thinking.

What You'll Do

• Review and evaluate AI-generated public policy questions, analyses, and explanations used in AI training
• Assess economic reasoning related to regulation, public welfare, taxation, and government programs
• Provide structured, detailed feedback to improve the clarity, rigor, and real-world applicability of AI outputs
• Apply your applied economics knowledge to validate scenarios, conclusions, and policy tradeoffs
• Work independently and asynchronously — on your own schedule, at your own pace

Who You Are

• 3+ years of experience working or teaching in public policy, applied economics, or a related field
• Strong command of policy analysis frameworks and economic tradeoff reasoning
• Able to critically evaluate written economic arguments and policy recommendations
• Skilled at providing clear, constructive written feedback
• Self-directed and comfortable working in a remote, task-based environment

Nice to Have

• Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a closely related discipline
• Professional experience in government agencies, think tanks, or policy research institutions
• Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows
