Requirements

  • Must be available to complete all phases of the Special Agent applicant process
  • Must successfully complete the Physical Task Assessment (PTA)
  • Must successfully complete the Proctored Testing phase, which includes the Writing Assessment
  • Must successfully complete the Basic Qualification Review phase
  • Must successfully complete the Structured Interview phase

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification and eligibility requirements must be met
  • Self-ratings may be compared to application materials
  • Errors or omissions may impact eligibility

  • Abbreviated hiring process for current or former 1811 applicants who have successfully completed a Federal Criminal Investigation training program through another federal law enforcement agency

  • Spanish language proficiency may be assessed during the hiring process

  • Special Agent Transition Program available for current or former 1811 applicants with FLETC/CITP transcripts
