Responsibilities
- Participate in the creative development, technical implementation, and curation of online content for websites and related digital platforms.
- Use the digital content management system to create, modify, and edit webpages.
- Implement recommended updates to agency online documents, including PowerPoint, forms, reports, and training and guidance documents using Adobe Acrobat.
- Follow best practices and style guidelines to produce high-quality and accurate work.
- Adhere to agency policies and strategies for digital communications.
- Collaborate with the Report Development Unit (RDU) staff and management to edit audit reports and other publications, including editing, proofreading, designing, and formatting print content, charts, graphs, and other figures.
- Update and maintain the Division’s Style Guide and other comment libraries of approved wording for audit reports.
- Assist with the corrective action plan and report tracking processes.
Requirements
To be appointed to this position, you must have at least six (6) years of experience in public relations, social media, and digital communications.
- An Associate’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or a similar degree can substitute for two (2) years of general experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in the same fields can substitute for four (4) years of general experience.
- A Master’s degree in the same fields can substitute for one (1) additional year of general experience.
- Education substitutions are not to exceed five (5) years of total experience.

Schedule
This position can be located in LGSA’s Albany Central Office or available Regional Offices.
The Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC) supports telecommuting where reasonable. Generally, employees new to OSC will be restricted from telecommuting for at least 8 calendar weeks. After this period, employees may telecommute up to 5 days per pay period if their primary residence location, duties, and work performance align with telecommuting and operational needs.
